Where does the money go?

After the expenses of running Frome’s Carnival are met, the surplus of the money which you have donated goes to charitable purposes in and around Frome.

During a period of over 75 years since the Frome Carnival Charities Association was formed the Trustees have never refused help because of the lack of funds.

Distribution of funds

The money collected in Frome is used throughout the year to help those in need in the Frome area and surrounding villages. The Carnival Charities Association help by supplying household goods, transport, health and educational aids and occasionally

wheelchairs. If you know anyone you think might benefit from the help of the Association please contact us.

In 2004 Frome’s Carnival Charity distributed for:

• Wheelchairs £500
• Travel Assistance £265
• Community Projects £540
